MMMMM... Shiny butt...

Just a quick update. I was originally not going to do Black Cat's in leather. I know it's supposed to be leather or latex, but I've always found that to be rather impractical, despite how damn sexy it is. Think about it, it you're jumping around rooftops at night and robbing banks and jewelry stores and what not, would you be wearing a non-breathable leather/latex body suit. Not if you wanted to be successful you wouldn't. Even if you're a really hot girl. :p If you were smart, you'd have a lightweight breathable suit with some hardened lightweight kevlar paneling over your vitals. And a zipper down the front for easy access, Giggity!

Anyway, I was going to do her suit more in a Lycra/Cloth texture, for a couple reasons, 1) I suck at shiny leather/latex still and 2) it was easier. I started fiddling around though and then had a happy accident which provided me with an awesome result for a leather suit. Then I added some glows to make the brightness from the city below stand out and voila! I might go back and tweak the glows some more, but I really like what I accidentally did here. Hard part's done, I should be able to finish this by the weekend.

Spider Pig, Spider Pig.....

...does whatever a superhero needs to do when he's got more than one mega babe jonesing for him. I was browsing Rodolphe's site today and came across another image with Spidey and this time MJ. I thought I should color it up too, as a companion piece to the one with Felicia. Since I've got Spidey and Felicia and their little tryst at night, I figured it'd make send for Peter to be taking MJ out in the day. A duality in his life of sorts. But by this thought process I've made Peter a cheating bastard, hence the Spider-Pig. The backgrounds are photomanipualtions, I'm not Adam Hughes talented yet. :( The characters are just flatted so far and I've started on the base to Black Cat's costume.

This is the lighting layout to a piece I flatted last night while slow roasting the most amazing chicken I've ever cooked.  It was so good that I was jealous of myself for making something that awesome (the chicken I mean).  Anyway, the lines on this piece were done by the amazing Rodolphe Guenoden.  This is going to be just a quick warm up style piece, so I'll probably throw a photomanip of NYC in the background when I finish.

YAAAAAAWN

This is pretty close to final. A couple minor color holds and adding the fire glow left. I'll be posting the finished version on my DA page after I get approval from the client. Time to sleep now.

Dammit!

I know, I know.... I actually haven't been slacking, just busy. I've still been working on stuff, but neglectful of my posting duties. Anyway, here's a progress shot of a commission I'm working on. I hope to have it done by the end of the week, but I had burned my hand last week and couldn't do anything, so I'm behind schedule on it. It's all healed up now though, so it's back to work!

The border and background colors may not be the final colors, I haven't decided yet. They're there for now so I'm not coloring against a white background and making everything too bright.
